Style of Zorel (forgotten warrior)

This is a favourite style of mine and of course Kaowloo, it's near and dear to my heart and even if your the strongest guy in the world this style is not for you if your not prepared to get totally busted up, cause this is military style son and you will get bopped.
Muay Thai is believed to have started in 1650 when King Naresuen of Siam was captured by the Burmese and offered freedom if he could defeat the Burmese champions. He successfully defeated 12 of the finest Burmese boxers to become a national hero, and instilled the pride of the Thai people making Thai Boxing a national pastime.

It is an adaptation of the Thai military arts. In peacetime the weapons of the battlefield were laid down and the soldiers would fight empty hand to keep their edge. At that time there were few rules, no rounds, and no weight classes. In this time period boxers fought barefooted, their fists and forearms wrapped in hemp rope and combat was extremely brutal. Training methods were vast and varied.

Unlike most traditional styles, Muay Thai does not contain many difficult or flashy techniques that take years of training to learn. The techniques of Muay Thai have been simplified for maximum efficiency. Primarily, a Thai Boxer will use the round kick, foot jab (or push kick), knees, elbow strikes and boxing hand techniques to inflict damage upon his or her opponent. Rarely (almost never) will a Thai Boxer leave the ground in a jumping technique and even more rarely will he turn his back in a spinning technique; these are not considered effective techniques by Thai stylists.

It is no wonder that with these brutal techniques, Muay Thai fighters are among the most feared in the world. Many Western kickboxers will not even step into the ring with a Muay Thai fighter, and with good reason. It should be noted that Muay Thai is NOT kickboxing. Kickboxing employs many karate and tae kwon do kicks and hands (such as the backfist or spinning-kicks), and is not connected to Muay Thai, a fact that many kickboxers seem to forget.

I agree with Michael, the only reason Brian and Stephen can take us is that they're more disciplined and Michael and I (or more me in this situation) are just trying not to get kicked back down into that longer corner between the bed and the wall. If Michael and I were martial artists we would kick their asses all the time. I'd be more of a weapons specialists myself but there are martial arts tied into that as well, right?
